Lough Caragh and River Caragh in Glenbeigh

Lough Caragh and River Caragh drains an area of approximately 66 square miles into an estuary just north of Glenbeigh. The rivers in the system get good runs of salmon and grilse each year, while the lake holds very good stocks of brown trout and the occasional char. There are a number of fishing stands on the lake and boats are readily available for hire.
Angling Season
Salmon: 15th March to 30th September.
Brown/Sea Trout: 15th March to 12th October.
