Japanese Gardens
The lands of the Irish National Stud include the world-famous Japanese Gardens.
Opening Hours: Daily, 12th February to Christmas - 9.30am to 5pm.
The Japanese Gardens at Tully were created between 1906 -1910. Devised by Colonel William Hall-Walker, who later became Lord Wavertree, the gardens were laid out by Japanese gardener Tass Eida and his son Minoru.
The gardens are acclaimed as the finest Japanese Gardens in Europe.
The gardens symbolize the "Life of Man" and the journey of the soul of man from oblivion to eternity, using rare plants and landscapes.
