Dublin Zoo is located at Phoenix Park in Dublin 8
, Co. Dublin.
Dublin Zoo was opened on the 1st September 1831 by the Royal Zoological Society of Ireland with animals from the London Society, making it the third oldest zoo in the world. Within a year the zoo housed 123 species. It is now one of the leading zoos in Europe with more than 700 animals
and tropical birds from around the world on the 59 acre site.
It's a great day out for all the family.
