Ballinalacken Castle is located at Ballinalacken in Lisdoonvarna
, Co. Clare.
Ballylacken is a Tower House built most likely in the 15th/16th centuries.
The castle is in the grounds of the Ballinalacken Castle Hotel which was built in 1840.
A fortress was orginally built here by the O'Connors in the 10th century and in the 15th century it was in the hands of the O'Briens who were one of the most powerful families in Ireland at the time.
