The River Nore is reknowned for its natural wild brown trout and its deep pools and fast rapids. The river is the largest in the Durrow area. Much of the river flows through woodland however the banks of the river have cleared walkways.
Typically the fishing season opens on March 1 and runs until September 30 each year however this should be confirmed with the Angler's Club officer.
All waters in the Durrow area require a permit. Fishing permits can be arranged by contacting the Durrow and District Angling Club's officer or Lawlors Gala Shop, The Square, Durrow on +353 57 8736234.
