About Angling River Erkina
Angling River Erkina in Durrow
, Co. Laois.
The Erkina, the second largest river in the Durrow area, flows from the northwest through Durrow and joins the Nore about 1.5 kms east of the town. The river has many deep pools and is good for fishing stocked trout, natural wild brown trout and pike.
Typically the fishing season opens on March 1 and runs until September 30 each year however this should be confirmed with the Angler's Club officer.
All waters in the Durrow area require a permit. Fishing permits can be arranged by contacting the Durrow and District Angling Club's officer or Lawlors Gala Shop, The Square, Durrow on +353 57 8736234.
